Week of 3/19/18

Hi everyone!
Did you have a great weekend?  I did.  Friday I participated in the OffthegridFriday stitching party.  I put in my last stitches of the week to finish out my rotation.

Arab tent

Stitcher’s Studio
I really enjoyed working on these two!  Switching after one week seems to work so far since I was ready to work on something else.

Well I’ve picked my two projects for this weeks rotation.  Covered Bridge which is a kit by Design Works which I’ll stitch on at home.  It’s a new start (I don’t count the 15 stitches I put in before for a Jan crazy challenge I tried 🙂.  Here’s my starting point:

I was able to get a few diagonals finished and feel like I got a lot done on this piece.  Here is where I left it for the week:

Brooke’s Books Advent Animals will be my lunch break stitching project this week.  I’m on #2 Peter Polar Bear:

Starting point on this one.

I worked on this at lunch and got the rest of the border finished as well as his hat and most of the sweater.  I didn’t have one of the thread colors so I need to run to Michaels or Hobby Lobby before I pick this back up in the rotation.

Here’s where Peter stands as of the end of the week!

I’m trying to decide on how many WIPS to pull into my monthly rotation.  I’m still thinking 8.  I’ll have to dedicate a page for my WIPS both active and inactive.  I’m pretty embarrassed at how many I have 😬.

Long Lost Post

Wow where did the time go?  I can’t believe I haven’t posted here in two years!  Life happens what can I say?

So what have I been up to stitch wise?  I’m working on the stocking and Arab tent.  I’m getting ready to try a rotation again and see if I can keep up better.

Stitcher’s Studio is coming along really well!  I had lost the magazine and finally found it so I could get the pattern for the pictures.  So glad I found it!

I also pulled out Arab tent and setup my stand.  One thing I’m doing differently is stitching diagonally.  I’m really loving that and think it’s making it faster for me.  I don’t have to make decisions as much and I’m getting the hang of parking my threads!

So it’s Friday and I’m going to be joining in the Friday stitching party tonight.  Then this weekend I’m going to change my rotation.  I’ll need to figure what ones I’ll add in. I’ll have two that I work on each week.  One during my lunch break and another for at night.

My rotation should give me 8 projects per month to work on so that will be my limit.  I’ll post an update at the end of each week to let you see what I’ve accomplished and what the next weeks projects will be.  Sounds like a doable schedule to me.

Until next time happens stitching!
