November update

I started out November with Widow Black B&B for a total of 8 days and managed to get a page finished!  I love seeing the cat and the Widow Black in the window.

I then rotated to Ghosties and Ghoulies by Lizzie Kate.  Worked on it 3 days and managed to finish it on 11/7/18.

Halloween House was next and I worked on it for 4 days.
Previous progress:

I managed to get the left wall, minus a few stitches here and there.  It’s come back around a second time in rotation for another 5 days and currently on scroll frame below.  I just finished the roof.  I’m worked on the door frame and filling in the walls above and beside the door.

I started Haunted another part of the Tingles series by Lizzie Kate on Sunday of Thanksgiving week.  I allotted 4 days and could have finished it but am leaving it for Year of WIPS next year.  I also gridded the rest of where the charts for October 31st and Just Batty and got started on them before I put it on inactive status until Oct next year.

I really enjoyed working on this series and was my favorite WIP for October and November.

I worked on Something Wicked This Way Comes at lunch most weekdays and brought it with me for Thanksgiving and really made a lot of progress and squeezed out a finish!

Since I finished Something Wicked I still had one day left for November and pulled out Mary Mouse and finished her!

December Plans:

For my plans on December I’ve been trying to determine what WIPS I want to work on.  I’ve already changed it twice but think I’ve settled on them now.

My focus pieces will be Arab Tent, Kings Vegetable Garden, starting Blitzen and the Christmas Village.  I’ve also written in a few days for Angel of Spring and Spring @ Hollyberry Farm.

Work projects will be try and finish 12 Days of Christmas #2, start 12 Days of Christmas #3 and start Advent Animals Duncan Dog and Hattie Hedgehog.

We’ll see how it goes!

October stitching Wipocalypsis

For October I’m changed up my rotation to only include my Halloween WIPS.  It’s been so fun working on these!  The one above is Something Wicked This Way Comes by Sam Sarah.  It was a mystery stitch along back in 2014.  It’s my travel piece this month.

Next is Widow Black B&B which I ended up frogging all the purple wall.  Looks much better with the correct color!

My new start is the Tingles series from Lizzie Kate.  I started and finished the trick or treaters in the Ghosties & Ghoulies block.  It's stitched on 28 ct Chocolate Wichelt and using the Weeks Dye Works called threads.

I've loved working on this chart and the colors used are so cute!

Here is where I left off for October.

The last Halloween WIP I worked on was Halloween House by Ursula Michael

Something new that I wanted to try was to add a focus piece in October.  Lighthouse Pointe by Dimensions and it's my oldest WIP.

And I have a finish!  I'm so pleased to be finally done with this one and to be able to check it off my list of WIPS :)

I'm so happy with the progress this past month!

For November I'm going to continue to work on my Halloween pieces.   Widow Black's B&B, finish Tingles Ghosties & Ghoulies, & work on Halloween House.  I'll continue working on Sam Sarah's Something Wicked and try to have a finish this month.   I'm planning to start Tingles Haunted as well as get two others started in that series to work on my Year of Wips.

Thanks for dropping by!

May and June stitching

Let’s see,  I haven’t been working on but two projects for the last two months.  Arab Tent and Stitchers Studio.  I’m in a 60 day HAED challenge where you stitch exclusively on one project or two 30 days each.  I sort of cheated and am stitching mostly at lunch on Stitchers Studio because I’m so close to a finish.  I’m iching terribly to work on my other WIPS and need to start another one so I’ve got eight per month. (4 main projects and 4 travel or lunch projects)

I’m going to keep this post short and get to the two WIPS I’ve worked on!

Arab Tent HAED

Stitchers Studio from Cross Stitch and Country Crafts magazine

I can’t wait until my 60 days are done and I can rotate on to something else!  I’m still enjoying Arab Tent but my others are calling my name! 🤪

I’m going to be traveling with my husband next week and I’m trying to decide which WIP to take.  I’ll probably take two and I want/need to take Arab Tent also so I keep up with the challenge.  If I do take Arab Tent then I’ll just bring Stitchers Studio so I keep the supplies down to a minimum.

Wish me luck that I make it through this challenge!  It should be over June 22nd while I’m traveling.

Thanks for visiting with me and I will talk with you later.

12 days of Christmas #2 - New start for April

99 - New start for April

Some of these I only worked a week on and others I ended up devoting more time to.  Switching to stitching up to a goal on the pattern from rotating weekly I think has been a good change.  I’ll see how that goes in May since I’m going to set monthly goals.  It’s fun to see how far I made it in a months time.  April is when I picked up more than one project since I was solely stitching on my stocking.

Hope you guys had a great month too with many stitches!

99 Bottles and 12 Days of Christmas

Hi stitchy friends!  Thanks for dropping by and welcome new readers!

Last time I posted I made the decision to just stitch to a stopping point.  For 99 Bottles I choose to stop after I finished the top row on page 1.  You’ll be happy to see I did complete it.  Below for photos:

My lunch break piece was #2 on 12 Days of Christmas and goal was to get the bird cage finished.  I got that finished and happy I got there.

Week of 3/26/18 and 4/2/18

Just thought I would combine the last two weeks.  Got more done week of the 26th then this past week due to work.

Week before I had two new starts.  Angel of Spring and Harry, Ron and Hermione.  I worked on Angel of Spring at home and the Harry Potter gang was my piece I worked on at lunch.
Angel of Spring is by Lavender and Lace and I really enjoyed working on this one.  I think I got far on it.

This is how far I got on it.

Harry, Ron and Hermione was a great piece to work on at lunch.  It’s by wee little stitches.

Got pretty well underway and about halfway finished since it’s a quick stitch.

This week I’ve also had two new starts.  Can you tell I have startitis?  I’ve got other WIPS that I should be working on but these look so fun.  One is from a set so I done feel too bad since I’m on #2 of Prairie Schoolers 12 days of Christmas.  This has been my piece I work on at lunch and since work has been pretty busy this week I didn’t get much done other than some of the back stitching

The other one is 99 Bottles by Ink Circle was able to get 3 bottles stitched!

Heineken

Fat Tire Amber

I think what I’m going to try this month is to stitch on a project until I get to a goal on that piece.  So I’m going to keep working on this one until I get the first row on page one finished.  I’m halfway there!
